Fr. James Robert Stajkowski M.S.

stajkowski-photoFr. James Robert Stajkowski M.S. age 70, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Hampton Manor Assisted Living surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 7, 1946 in Bay City to Floyd and Virginia (Marciniak) Stajkowski. Fr. James Stajkowski was a Missionary Priest with Our Lady of LaSalette Order. He entered LaSalette Seminary in Olivet, Illinois in September of 1960. Fr. James attended Junior College in Altamont, NY., Novitiate in Bloomfield, CT. and his First Profession was on July 1, 1967. He studied Philosophy at Merrimack College in MA. and Theology in Rome, Italy. Fr. James Stajkowski was ordained on July 14, 1973. He ministered in Manitoba Canada, Milwaukee WI., Olivet IL. and Twin Lakes WI. He did ministry work in Managascar and India. Fr. Stajkowski served as Surperior General Council in Rome, Italy from 2000 – 2006 and the Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Twin Lakes, WI. from 2006 – 2016. Surviving is his mother, Virginia; a sister, Carol Bence; three brothers, Dan (Judy); Rick (Sandy); Tim (Cathy) Stajkowski and many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish – St. Hedwig Church. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate. Friends may call at St. Hedwig Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass at 11:00 a.m. There will be a mass at Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery in Twin Lakes, WI. at a later date. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Our Lady of LaSalette Shrine P.O. Box 777 Twin Lakes, WI.

    Aunt Virg, Carol, Dan, Rick and Tim and your families -

    I’m deeply saddened to hear of Fr. Jim’s passing. Unfortunately, I found out yesterday will be unable to return in time for his service. Fr. Jim and all of you are in my mothers’ and my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Love Bill Richardson.

    Became good fiends with Father Jim in Olivet Did a lot of work for them in Olivet .When I hauled the statues from Olivet to Twin Lakes he rode with me .That was a good time learned a lot from him .He married Lois and I in 1994

    My thought and prayers are with all of you during this time. I loved the fact I got to be really close friends while at LaSalette Retreat Center with Fr. Jim. we had some great times cooking, and working in the yard. Memories I will treasure. Thank you for letting me be a part of the LaSalette family. I will miss him too.
