Lambert Gary pic875Mr. Lambert passed away suddenly the early morning hours of Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his residence, at the age of 71. He was born in Bay City on December 22, 1945 to the late Maxine Lambert and resided there most of his life. Gary married Cheryl L. Shorkey in West Baptist Church of Bay City on September 9, 1967 and she survives him. He served our country in the United States Army and later retired from Michigan Sugar in February 2012 after 26 years of service. Gary was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on automobiles. He was particularly intrigued by U.S. History and often read books, articles, and watched movies related to WWI and WWII. Gary was also an active Gamer, and frequently played war games on his Play Station 3. He shall be remembered most for his loving sense of humor and generosity towards others.

Surviving besides his wife Cheryl, he leaves two daughters, Melissa Provo and Kitrina (Wayne) Lambert-Provo; three grandchildren, Justin Walker, Nathan Provo, and Madalyn Provo. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Sabrina Sue, and step-father, Erv Rinas.

Visitation with Gary’s family will take place at Squires Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 13 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bay County Veteran’s Council at 3:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the wishes of the family.
