Debby J. Jewell (Schmidt)

Bay City, Michigan

Debby passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at her residence, age 60.  She was born November 28, 1956 in Tawas City, Michigan.  She was a wonderful, loving and giving person.  Debby was loved by everyone and had hundreds of friends.  She volunteered for numerous organizations and would do anything for everyone.  Debby found her niche in life when she discovered many residents in her building needed transportation to and from appointments, hospitals, pick up prescriptions or just get their groceries.  It gave her great joy to be needed and be able to help.  Debby was also very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and loved every minute of it.  She was very proud of all of them.  Debby’s sisters remember a lot of time spent together and even planned on being “the Golden Girls” as they aged.  Debby wanted to be “Blanche”.  Debby felt she finally got it right.  She will be terribly missed by her daughter Ginger (Scott) Butts, grandchildren, her mother Elizabeth (Gorden) Schmidt, two sisters, Eddi (Brian) Arndt and Timmi (Terry) Cuthbertson, one brother Paul (Linda) Schmidt, several nieces and nephews.  Debby was predeceased by her father Edward A. Schmidt and one sister Lucy Lorenz.

Per Debby’s request, cremation will take place.  No services or visitation will be at the Ambrose Funeral Home.

    My condolences to your family.
Debbie was such a spunky, outspoken woman. I’m going to miss her dearly. She was so full of attitude and made going to work exciting. She never took crap from anyone, and if you didn’t want to know the truth about something, don’t ask her, she would dang sure tell ya. See you on the other side friend.
