Alexander Luna “The Kid”

lunareplacementphotoAlexander Luna passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home age 59 years.  He was born February 4, 1957 in Saginaw to the late Jesus and Angelita (Blanchard) Luna.  Alexander enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, watching the “Duke” in old classic cowboy movies, playing euchre, chess, poker, driving classic cars but above all enjoying a cold beer.  Surviving are two daughters; Tiffani (Billy) Watson, Amanda Commire and three grandchildren; Kiana, Billy Jr. and Brandon Watson.  Also surviving are six brothers and six sisters; Mike, John, Pete, Tony, Phillip, Martin, Julie, Manuela, Angie, Mary, Frances and Stella.  Alexander also leaves his girlfriend, Irene Hyatt.  He was predeceased by two brothers; Jerry and Jessie.  Funeral and committal service will take place Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. from the Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Charles Campbell will officiate.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Maureen V. Foucault

Maureen V. Foucault passed on May 24th in Harbor Springs, Michigan.  Born in Bay City on September 12, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Lula LaFountain Kuhn and Hugh Kuhn, Sr.  Maureen graduated from Bay City St. James High School and later graduated from Mercy Central School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On June 5, 1943 she married Francis J. Foucault, who preceded her in death.  She was an active member of Bay City St. James Church and later St. Francis Xavier Church in Fort Myers, Florida.

She will be missed by her loving family of four children and their spouses: Kathleen (Leo) Beson of Fort Myers, Ann (Kerry) O’Tool of Petoskey, Joseph (Diane) Foucault of Essexville, and Patrick (Jennifer) Foucault of Petoskey; seven grandchildren: Kelly Beson, Chad Foucault, Ashley Walraven, Casey and Doug O’Tool, and Jacob and Jamie Foucault; two great grand twins: Jackson and Lincoln O’Tool; sister Patricia Thomas of California; sister-in-law Phyllis Duso of Florida and many nieces and nephews all surviving her.   She was predeceased by four sisters: Margaret Crooks, Joan Young, Marjorie MacKenzie, and Mary Lou Kuhn along with six brothers: Raymond, Hugh, Joseph, Francis, James and Robert. 

 

The Funeral Mass for Maureen will be celebrated at All Saints Parish-St. James Church at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.  Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera will celebrate Mass and private interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family at church Wednesday beginning at ­­10:00 AM.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Rita’s School for the deaf in Cincinnati, Ohio. Beaushaw passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region age 37 years.  She was born October 3, 1978 in Bay City.  Nicole married Steven Beaushaw on August 17, 1996 and he survives her.  Nicole enjoyed going camping, having cook outs, sitting by the bonfire, hanging out watching movies but most of all she loved to spend time with her husband and son.  Surviving besides her husband, is her son Nicholas Beaushaw, her mother, Helene (Kerr) Narvaiz, her father, Greg (Carol) Holden, mother in-law, Merry Stone and her father in-law, David Wagner.  Also surviving is a sister, Carrie (Jeremy) Mason, her aunt and uncle who are her Godparents, Denise Honeman & Rick Kerr, a special niece, Lexie Nicole Schwab, many other nieces, nephews, cousins her special Stanton Street friends and her special furry baby, Story.  Funeral Service will take place Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Dan Mastrogiacomo will officiate with private burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 – 7 p.m.   In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Bruce E. Rex Jr.

Rex Jr. passed away suddenly Saturday, May 21, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland age 51 years.  He was born November 16, 1964 in Bay City.  Bruce enjoyed watching all kind of sports and was actively involved in Fantasy Sports.  He enjoyed the outdoors but most importantly he will always be remembered for helping out others any way he could.  Surviving are four sons; Alan, Andrew, Anthony and Matthew Rex.  Also surviving is his parents, Bruce Sr. and Ann (VanTol) Rex, three brothers and a sister, Edward, David, Ronald (Alli) Rex, Tina Valliere and many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was predeceased by a brother in-law, Jeffrey Valliere.  Funeral and committal service will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. from the Squires Funeral Home.  Linda Studniarz will officiate.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 – 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Harold D. Malone

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at Toni & Trish House, age 91.  Harold was born July 7, 1924 in Jordan, West Virginia to the late Brooks and Pearl (DeVault) Malone.  He married the love of his life Dorothy B. Lehmann in Bay City on September 2, 1967 and she survives him.  Harold retired from the US Navy after 24 years and loved every minute traveling the world during his Navy career.  He also retired from General Motors and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions, working in his garden, woodworking, bike rides and casino trips.  The most important part of his life was his family, he loved them with all of his heart and they loved him just the same.  He was always there to lend a hand or help if he could.

Surviving besides his wife Dorothy are five children: Jackie Allen, Valerie Foster, Becky (Bo) Miller, Leland (Kim) Houthoofd and Nancy (Ken) DeBats, fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, one sister, Christine Johnson and many nieces and nephews.  Harold was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Houthoofd.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Harold’s Life and Military Service to his country will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Ambrose Funeral Home.  Rev. Andreas Teich will officiate and Military Honors will be provided by the Bay County Veterans Council.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Toni & Trish House.
