Lori J. Spiess

Spiess passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the age of 37.  She was born October 28, 1978 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  Lori enjoyed watching movies with her companion dog buddy, going bowling especially with her grandfather, she also enjoyed working on projects with Lonnie, but most importantly she treasured the times with her family.  Surviving are two sons; Shane & Shannon, her mother and dad; Cathy Spiess & Lonnie White, her grandmother, Betty “Jeannine” Brown and two uncles; Bruce (Denise) Brown and Dennis (Jody) Brown, and her father Robert Spiess and many special friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Frank Brown.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later time.

June Frances Jezowski

June passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Covenant Health Care Cooper, age 77.  She was born December 31, 1938 to the late Fletcher L. and Ann I. (Balash) Ouellette.  She married the late Julius S. Jezowski on May 10, 1958, and he pre-deceased her on June 28, 1998.  June worked several years for Region VII Area Agency on Aging and over the years for Do-All and the American Red Cross.  June was an avid online “gamer” where she loved to play Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Bingo.  She also enjoyed making and personalizing cards and online cards for family and friends, but most especially she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. 

 Surviving are five children:  Wendy Jezowski (Tim Ward), Dawn Roberts, Marc Jezowski, Kris Jezowski and Marci (David) Smith; four grandchildren: Johnathan Roberts, Alexandria Smith, Andrew Smith, and Austin Smith; two sisters: Jean (Dale) Meyers, Kay (Jeff) Bisel, and many nieces and nephews.  June was also pre-deceased by her daughter Tamara; a son-in-law, Russell Roberts and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Julius and Edna Jezowski.

 A Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday, April 8, 2016 at Squires Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. and burial will take place at St. Anne Cemetery, Linwood. Gerald J. Witucki

Witucki was called home Easter Sunday March 27, 2016  by his Heavenly Father at the McLaren Bay Region age 81 years.  He was born July 29, 1934 in Bay City to the late Stephen and Helen (Kolasa) Witucki.  Jerry married the former Barbara Janowiak September 17, 1955 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and she survives him.  He worked at G.M. Powertrain of Bay City for over 42 years before retiring.  Jerry enjoyed taking his trips to the casino, playing cards at various locations in the city and especially his family card games with Jill & Steve and Ed & Rose.  He enjoyed working outside but his true passion was spending time with his family especially the grandchildren.  Surviving besides his wife Barb he leaves two children; Mark (Beth Ann) Witucki, Karen Witucki, seven grandchildren; Melissa (Hammad) Raza, Justin (Meagan) Witucki, Max (Jessica) Witucki, Christopher Bauer & Tiffany, Chad Bauer & Dirwinna, Charissa Ann Kimbrue, Cassi Bauer & Chris, nine great –  grandchildren (one on the way) and two great-great grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Edward (Rose) Witucki, a sister in-law, Carol Maciejewski and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Olivia, three brothers; Ervin (Mary), Clarence (Grace), Raymond (Germain) Witucki and two brother in-laws; Tom Maciejewski and Richard Janowiak.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish – St. John the Evangelist Church.  Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday after 9:00 a.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Cline E. Spencer “Bud”

Cline E. Spencer was called home by his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Toni & Trish House, surrounded by his family at the age of 83.  He was born August 25, 1932 in Bay City to the late Robert & Clara (Greenwood) Spencer.  Cline married the former Angela Plachta on August 22, 1953 in Holy Trinity Church and she survives him.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was owner and operator of Cline Spencer & Associates.  Cline was a faithful member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and the K of C Council #414.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling with friends, taking his annual family vacations on Walloon Lake, but most importantly truly loved spending time with his family.  Surviving besides his wife Angela, he leaves five children; David (Nancy) Spencer, Donna (Gregg) Grobbel, Marty (Angie) Spencer, Paul (Lisa) Spencer, Kevin (Camie) Spencer, fifteen grandchildren; Jessica (Phil) Manning, Nathan, Quincy, & Will Campbell, Bobby Grobbel, Katie (Jason) Lisko, Kyle, Sara, Neil, Sydney, Shannon & Drew Spencer, Kristin (Stephen) Johnson, Katie & Billy Schneider.  Also surviving is a brother, Bill Spencer.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Spencer Campbell, three sisters and a brother.  Per Cline’s wishes his body has been donated to the University of Michigan Medical School.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Rick Filary will officiate followed by military honors by the Bay County Veteran’s Council.  Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass.  In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Helen Maziarz

maziarzphoto412     Helen Maziarz, our beloved mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Bay Medical Care Facility at the age of 100 years.  The daughter of the late Bartholomew and Catherine (Sczepanik) Gorney was born March 3, 1916.  Helen attended St. Hyacinth Grade School.  She worked at General Cigar Factory for many years.  She married Alexander Maziarz of Saginaw, MI who pre-deceased her on September 26, 1995.  Helen loved gardening, flowers, crocheting, making pies, but most of all loved being with her family, especially her grand-children and great-grandchildren.  Surviving are five children: a son, Jerry (Gretchen) Maziarz; four daughters: Rose (Dan) Olechowski, Betty Paulus, Patricia (Terry) Majchrzak, and Dorothy (George) Barber; fifteen grandchildren: Matt (Lori) Maziarz, Nick Maziarz, Lisa (Tim) Wolf, Kevin (Rhonda) Olechowski, Steve (Sue) Olechowski, Julie (Pat) Kuczkowski, Greg (Jennifer) Olechowski, Rex Paulus, Jennifer (Mark) Czarnik, Rebecca Majchrzak, David and Jeff Majchrzak, Amanda (Tyler) Davenport, and Jason and Rhonda Barber.  Helen is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Jack, Cooper, Hayden, Adam, Elen, Zander, Madelyn, Lelynd, and Emma and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Surviving too, are two brothers-in-law: Jerome Maziarz of Saginaw and Edward (Dorothy) Maziarz of Bridgeport.  She was pre-deceased by Anthony Maziarz, six brothers, three sisters, and an infant daughter, Dolores.  The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of Bay Medical Care Facility, for their outstanding kindness and the compassionate care given to Helen.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church. Visitation will be at the church only on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate with interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Gladys R. Przygocki

Przygocki was called home on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Carriage House of Bay City age 87 years.  She was born December 29, 1928 in Parisville, Michigan to the late John and Frances (Gazda) Senkowski.  Gladys married Charles S. Przygocki June 9, 1951 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  He predeceased her February 15, 2003.  Gladys worked at Sears and Roebuck for many years and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, working in her yard and tending to her flowers.  Surviving are two sons; Robert (Cynthia) Przygocki, Kenneth (Joann) Przygocki, four grandchildren; Mathew, Nathan, Nicole & Kevin Przygocki and a great-grandson, Brady Collins.  Also surviving is a brother, John Senkowski, five sister in-laws; Lorraine Senkowski, Sr. Jane Przygocki, Elaine Hogan, Dorothy Przygocki, Katherine Przygocki, a brother in-law, Joseph Przygocki, many nieces, nephews and a  very special friend, John Lesniak.  She was predeceased by four brothers; Walter, Stanley, Edward & Anthony Senkowski and four sisters; Helen Schnell, Mary Grembowski, Josephine Gielda and Stella Frasik.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Rick Filary will officiate with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church only on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer Foundation.
