Leo M. Dyjak, Jr.

     Leo passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his home, age 51.  He was born April 5, 1964 in Bay City to the late Leo M. and Helen (Sakuta) Dyjak, Sr. Leo enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and deer hunting with his brothers and father.  He was a wonderful big heart man and a very talented cement finisher and construction worker.

     Surviving is his loving fiance, Celia Barnaby, two brother and two sisters: Judy Dyjak, Michael (Jean) Dyjak, John (girlfriend, Lisa) Dyjak and Anna Dyjak, nieces and nephews: Melissa, Jad, Danielle, Alton and Amy.

     Cremation has taken place.  No services are scheduled at this time at the Squires Funeral Home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”  

Gordon S. Rezler

rezler-photoGordon Rezler at the age of 58 passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 surrounded by his family.  He was born October 28, 1956 in Bay City to the late Chester and Genevieve (Janowicz) Rezler.  Gordon was employed with the U.S. Postal Service.   He was an avid golfer, enjoyed going to the casino, watching college football and most importantly spending time with his nieces and nephews.  Surviving are four brothers and three sisters; C. Norman (Madeline) Rezler, Richard (Shirley) Rezler, Jeannine (Daniel) Jezowski, Michele Vincent, Frederick Rezler, Theodore Rezler and his fiancé Jennifer Watson, Laurie (John) Paxton, nieces and nephews; Fred Mark Rezler and his fiancé Tara Engstrom, Tamara (Steven) Warner, Marissa Irish, Richard Scott (Sonja) Rezler, Stephanie (Jason) Goodman, Chris (Katie) Jezowski, Jennifer (Brian) Fuller, Nicholas Jozwiak, Derek & Brianna Rezler, Jeffrey Rezler and his fiancé Jozlyn Weaver, Evan & Sarah Rezler, Terrance Watson, Casey Brynn and Jarrett Paxton, thirteen great-nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.  He was predeceased by a brother in-law, Blane Vincent and one great niece and one great nephew.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Hyacinth Church.  Fr. Rick Filary will officiate with inurnment in FloralGardensCemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday after 9:00 a.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider WestMichiganCancerCenter.

Robert L. Czuba “Bob”

Robert L. Czuba was called home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center age 66 years.  He was born August 14, 1949 in Bay City to the late Walter and Mary (Nearman) Czuba.  Bob worked at the Dice Corporation for many years before retiring.  He enjoyed attending family functions and spending time with his nephew, niece and great nieces and great nephew.  Bob enjoyed going to plays and operas.  Surviving is his brother, Gary (Kathy) Czuba, one nephew and a niece, Daniel (Darci) Czuba, Laura (Wayne) Ardahl, five great nieces; Jordyn, Kylin, Gaby, Izzy, Sienna and one great nephew, Weston.  He was predeceased by his uncle who raised him, Robert Nearman.   The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Health Care Center for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Robert.  Funeral and committal service will take place Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. from the Ambrose Funeral Home.  Fr. Kevin Kerbawy will officiate with private burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a random act of kindness in Bob’s honor.

Lorraine J. Arndt

     Mrs. Arndt passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at home with her family at her side, age 88.  Lorraine was born October 29, 1926 in Bay City to the late Chester A. and Genevieve M. (Grabowski) Agdanowski.  She married Henry Joseph Arndt on November 26, 1949 and he predeceased her on July 3, 1977.  Lorraine was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church and its’ Rosary/Altar Society.  She was employed with Bay Medical Center for over 25 years and was never shy of hard work and keeping herself busy.  Lorraine enjoyed spending her extra time volunteering at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw and the American Red Cross for over 60 years.

Surviving are four sons: David, Brian (Eddi), Kerry (Lisa) and Loren (Karen) Arndt, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild, two sisters, Rita Zajac and Phoebe Dombrowski and a sister in-law, Elaine McFarland.  Lorraine was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Arndt, a daughter in-law, Judy Arndt, one brother, Adrian Arthur, one sister, Grace Ann Agdanowski and a brother in-law, Thomas McFarland.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrate Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church.  Fr. Rick Filary will celebrate Mass an interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and at church on Friday after 9:00 am.  Members of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish will pray the Rosary for Lorraine on Thursday at 3:00 pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Heartland Hospice or Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.

Romona Leona Holliday

     Romona passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region, age 90.  She was born March 19, 1925 in Mt. Morris, Michigan to the late Anthony E. and Theresa W. (Piotrowski) Pike.  She married Louis S. Holliday, Jr. in All Saints Parish-St. James Church on May 11, 1946 and he predeceased her on February 4, 1993.  She retired from Wolverine Knitting Mills in 1964 after 23 years of service and was a member of All Saints Parish-St. James Church. She loved playing bingo and going on casino bus trips.

Surviving are many cousins and close friends.  Romona was predeceased by a sister Marlene Joyce Pike and a brother Lawrence Pike.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at All Saints Parish-St. James Church.  Fr. Jose Cabrera will celebrate Mass and interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church only from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to All Saints Parish-St. James Church.

Romona’s relatives would like to thank all of her wonderful neighbors and staff at Bay Field Assisted Living for their continual help and support they gave her during her time there.

Our beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Grand Rapids, age 20.  Jonathan was born December 17, 1994 in Midland, Michigan.  He attended Holy Trinity Grade School and Bay City Western High School where he was active in Track and Field.  Jonathan also attended Rochester Adams High School and was currently enrolled at Grand Rapids Community College.  He loved skateboarding, reading, cooking, music, photography, art, animals, exercise and fitness.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Claire M. Eisenman, his grandmother, Marie-Jeanne McCarty, two brothers, Jeremy and Matthew Knickerbocker, half-brother, Daniel McCarty, grandfather, David Eisenman, one aunt, Corinne Eisenman and many close dear friends.   Jonathan was predeceased by his great grandmother, Madeline Beullay and a grandfather: Dr. Leslie P. McCarty.

The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Squires Funeral Home.  Pastor Kim Chenoweth will officiate.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 7:00 pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”
