Nancy T. DuCap

DuCapNancy T. DuCap age 75 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 26, 2014 at the Toni & Trish House.  She was born April 5, 1939 in Bay City to the late Edward and Irene (Pavelski) Maciejewski.  She married Charles E. DuCap and he predeceased her in 1987.   Nancy truly enjoyed having fun and enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.

 

Surviving are three children; Bryan (June) DuCap, Debbie (Jeffrey) Nakoneczny, Michael (Michele) DuCap, five grandchildren; Adam, Chelsea, Matthew & Jacob DuCap, Emily Nakoneczny and two great-grandchildren; Brooklynn and Sofie.  Also surviving are three brothers; Edward Jr. (Joan), Don (Joy) and Bob (Vicki) Maciejewski.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua DuCap.

 

A graveside service will take place Thursday October 2, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. from St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home everyone is welcome to come to the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Toni and Trish House.

Loraine E. Roth

Essexville, Michigan

 

Loraine passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region, age 53.  She was born April 22, 1961 in Bay City to the late Bernard and Florence (Conrad) Amrhein.  Loraine loved spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed her Chihuahuas, Baby and Autumn and her black lab, Nikki.

Surviving are four children: Heather (Howard) Gibelyou, Brandon Terwilliger, Crystal (Dean II) Clark, Josh Roth, two step-children, Bobby (Melissa) Majdecki and Ashley (Paul) Mulders, four sisters: Jackie Schlicker, Diane King, Linda (John) Sprague, and Sandy (Craig) Blackwell.  Loraine was predeceased by her companion of several years, Robert Majdecki.

Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”

Catherine Mary Wachowiak

wachowiak-photo017Catherine M. Wachowiak age 68 passed away Thursday September 18, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region.  She was born July 16, 1946 in Detroit, MI. to the late Clifford R. Sr. and Mary (Zielen) Biskner.  She married Edwin P. Wachowiak May 17, 1969 and he survives her.  Catherine was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing bingo and was an avid Detroit Tiger fan.  Catherine truly like to decorate for the holidays and will always be remembered as a giving person who treasured her time with her great-granddaughter.

 

Surviving besides her husband Edwin she leaves a son Leonard J.  Buczek Jr. and his wife Amber, two grandchildren; Brittanie Buczek, Joshua Buczek and his fiancé Breanna Dowd and a great-granddaughter Temperance Bice.  Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters; Robert (Patricia) Biskner, Raymond (Carolyn) Biskner, Ron (Bonnie) Biskner, Florence (Orvel) “Cut” James, Ruth (Danny) Bassett, a sister in-law, Frieda Biskner and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers; Paul and Clifford Jr. Biskner.

 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from Corpus Christi Parish – Holy Trinity Church.  Fr. Bert Gohm will officiate with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 – 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday after 9:00 a.m.  There will be a parish vigil service for Catherine at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society – Bay Co. Unit.

Glen M. Bennett

bennett-photo016Glen Bennett age 48 passed away Thursday September 18, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region.  He was born February 17, 1966 in Saginaw.  Glen was an avid outdooresman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.

Surviving are two children; Nathan J. Bennett and Haleigh A. Bennett, his mother Dorothy (Good) O’Harris, his father Kenneth (Judy) Bennett and his step-father Paul O’Harris.  Also surviving is a brother and sister; Kenneth Jr. (Sharon) Bennett, Dawn Miller and her fiancé Samuel Moore, a step-brother and step-sister; Mike Ferrante and Kim Chinnery.  He was predeceased by a step-brother Paul Ferrante.

Funeral Service will take place Monday September 22, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. from the Squires Funeral Home.  Nancy Rivet will officiate with private burial in Oakridge Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Monday from 3 – 7 P.M.  In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Judith A. Arndt

Our loving mother, sister and friend to all who knew her passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Bay Medical Care Facility, age 59.  Judy was born February 7, 1955 in Saginaw to the late Luke and Virginia (Latoski) Malecke.  She volunteered and coordinated activities for many years at Hampton Elementary School. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church and taught Religious Education at church as well.  Judy loved to be at her daughter’s activities, especially their dance recitals and theater shows.  She was a huge supporter of Bay City Central and John Glenn High School bands and football programs.

Surviving are two daughters, Claire A. Arndt and Erin L. Arndt, two brothers, Mark Malecke and David Malecke, her God daughter, Brianne Kuligoski and lifetime friend, Kim Geno.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church.  Fr. Jerzy Dobosz will celebrate Mass.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Monday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Judy will be held Sunday at 7:00pm at the funeral home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to John Glenn Auditorium or Hampton Elementary School playground.

Mark R. “Uncle Mark” Brown

Our loving son, brother and uncle entered the Kingdom of GodTuesday, September 16, 2014 at Covenant-Cooper due to complications after a heart surgery, age 46.  The son of Raymond and Kathleen (Rinz) Brown he was born March 2, 1968 in Bay City.  Mark graduated from TL Handy High School in 1986 and then attended DeltaCollege.  He was employed with McDonald’s for over 20 years and Bob Evan’s for 8 years.  Mark was currently the General Manager of Popeye’s and was looking forward to opening their new store in Mt.Pleasant this October. He was a member of Corpus ChristiParish-St.HedwigChurch and the Chamber of Commerce on Mt.Pleasant.  He enjoyed traveling and taking vacations, trips up-north and tried his luck at the casinos.  Mark loved playing the piano, music and most importantly his family, especially his niece, Meghan and nephew, Nolan.

Surviving is his mother, Kathy Brown, one sister, Mary Jo (Jeffrey) Zalucha, niece and nephew, Meghan and Nolan Zalucha and his dear friends: Kelly Zurvalec, Amy Stuber and Sheri Felske.  Mark was predeceased by his father, Raymond G. “Sonny” Brown and his grandparents: Al and Betty “Busia” Rinz and Helen and George Brown.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00am at Corpus ChristiParish-St.HedwigChurch.  Fr.
