Dennis H. Bode

Dennis passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, age 67.  The son of Henry and Caroline Bode he was born September 28, 1946 in Sanborn, Iowa.  He married Catherine T. Dault in Jamaica in 1985 and she survives him.  Dennis served with the US Air Force and was recruited to play basketball.  He retired from Powertrain in Bay City after 35 years of dedicated service and with his wife Cathy co-owned, Michigan Lawn and Garden and A 2 Z Cleaning.  Dennis was an avid outdoorsman and fantastic ball player.  He enjoyed fishing on walleye tournaments, deer hunting, baseball, soft ball and blooper ball.

Surviving is his wife, Cathy, children, Scott Bode and Jason (Stacy) Byce, grandchildren: Jordan, Jacob and Jadyn Bode, Aurora, Ariana and Alexia Byce, his mother, Caroline Bode-Kuiper, one brother, Ron (Ruth) Bode, two brother in-laws, Jere (Carol) Dault and Steve Dault, two sister in-laws, Marianne (Dan) VanDenBoom,  Janet Laatsch and “Unca Pops” has many very close nieces and nephews.  Dennis was predeceased by his father, Henry Bode, one brother in-law, Tom Dault and his mother and father in-law, Wilma and Zephere Dault.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to AA, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

Dolores M. Kowalski

Dolores passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region.  Age 69 years.  She was born on March 25, 1945 in Bay City to the late Howard and Thelma M. (Edsel) Kowalski.

 

She is survived by her daughter Julie (Matt) Hess of Arizona and her son Paul (Stephanie) Kowalski of Bay City, and grandchildren Kaylie Hess, Dillon Kowalski and Meranda Kowalski along with several brothers and sisters.

 

Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation at the Squires Funeral Home.

Robert W. Burrow

Robert passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Heartland-Hampton, age 71.  He was born September 16, 1942 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma to the late Floyd A. and Ruth (Thaxton) Burrow.  Robert married Rose Mary Ciosek on November 27, 1969 and she predeceased him on August 20, 2013.  He was a veteran and served his country with the US Navy from December 15, 1964 to December 14, 1970 during Vietnam and retired from Powertrain in 2000 after over 30 years of dedicated service.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the Detroit Tigers.  Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is a daughter, Barbara (Chris) Eilf, four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Danielle, Brittny and Kyleigh, three great grandchildren: Ashlie, Ethan and Lacey, one brother, Floyd (Jean) Burrow, two sisters, Millie Bentley and Rose Stock, one brother in-law, Paul (Marlene) Ciosek, nieces and nephews: Michael (Jen) Ciosek, Stephanie Redmond, Carla (Bob) Kernstock, Yvonne Stock, Shawn Bentley, Vanessa (Ed) Sims, Kara Kay (Keith) Tweet, several great nieces, nephews and cousins.  Robert was predeceased by a brother in-law, Bob Stock and one niece, Christine Stock.

The Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 12:00pm at the Squires Funeral Home.  Sr. Gail Addis will officiate and interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council.  Friends may call at the funeral at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and Friday after 11:00am.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”

Jeannette J. Parker

     Jeannette passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region, age 56.  She was born September 23, 1957 in Bay City to the late William E. and Delores Marie (Horning) Reinhardt.  She married Robert E. Parker on December 18, 1986 and he survives her.  Jeannette loved and cherished all of the special moments she had with her dear beloved son Jacob.  She also enjoyed her dog, Beethoven. 

     Surviving is her husband, Robert, three children: Jacob M. Parker, Mary Sanchez and Matt Howay, four siblings: Connie (Terry) Anderson, Michelle (Sadegh) Danesh, Bill Reinhardt and Kelly (Scott) Nichols.  Jeannette was predeceased by one sister, Billieann Kariajedies and one brother, Bobby Reinhardt.

     The Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 3:00pm at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Joe Atchinson will officiate.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00pm.  Memorial contributions may be considered to “Family Wishes.”

Larry W. Klug

     Our beloved husband, father and brother passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Bay Special Care, age 69.  Larry was born February 3, 1945 in HarborBeach to the late William and Ethel (McGraw) Klug.  He married Joyce A. Bladecki at St. Hedwig Church on December 15, 1972 and she survives him.  Larry was a science teacher at T.L. Handy, Western and Central High School until his retirement in December of 1994.  In 1992 Larry and Karl Sherback started a driver’s training business for individuals with special needs, called Challenged Driver Educators.  Karl passed away in 2008 and Larry continued the business until January of 2014.

     Surviving is his wife Joyce, two children, Holly (Jay) Reithel and Brian Klug, his trusted friend, Sam the cat, five sisters: Charlotte Clark, Arlene Winkel, Evelyn Boldt, Delphine Booms and Marjorie (Don) Radske, sister in-law, Alice (Lloyd) Mead, brother in-law, Bob Bladecki, sister in-law, Pat Bladecki, special niece and nephew, Julie and Tom Mead, three special little friends, Easton, Greer and Ian Anderson.

     A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 7:00pm at Squires Funeral Home.  Family and Friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00pm until the time of services. Kristin Lynne Behmlander

     Our loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend to all who knew her passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, age 21. She was born August 1, 1992 in Bay City.  Kristin graduated from JohnGlennHigh School in 2010 and enjoyed crocheting and Loon-it.  She loved being around people and was very out going, warm hearted and caring.  Her grandmother, JoAnn was one of her best friends and had a special place in Kristin’s heart.

     Surviving is her mother, Judy A. (Manuel Chapa) Behmlander, her father, Christopher Lyons, one sister, Nycole Ann Behmlander, aunt, Wanda Behmlander, uncle, Bill (Tammy) Behmlander, and her grandparents: Thomas (Carol) Behmlander and JoAnn Behmlander.

     The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 3:00pm at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Linda Studniarz will officiate and private inurnment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00pm until the time of services.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”
