Dolores D. (McKimmy)(Jones) Schnepp
Dolores was born on May 7, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Ottomar and Frances McKimmy. At the age of 78, after years of fighting the ill effects on diabetes, on January 21, 2012, Dolores went peacefully to sleep loving Jesus with family at her bed side.
Survivors include children: Karla (Jones) Davis of Midland, Gary and Dawn (Jones) Toner of Harrison, Travis Schnepp of Hawaii, Tracey and Patty Schnepp of Midland, John and Peggy Schnepp of Berrien Springs. Step children, Craig and Barbara (Schnepp) Miller of Twelve Mile, Indiana, Bob and Becky (Schnepp) Phillips of Beaverton, Milton and Brenda (Schnepp) King of Prescott, Norman and Betty (Schnepp) Nielson of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands,Bobby and Candy Schnepp of Beaverton, Bonnie (Schnepp) Deller of Midland. Daughter in laws: JanElla Schnepp of New Orleans, Lousiana, Joyce Schnepp of Beaverton. Grandchildren: Stanley, Joshua and Jon August Inman; Hadassah, Johnathan, Hanavaeh, Zachariah, Havvah Schnepp; and Griffin Schnepp. Great-Grandsons: Matthew and Brandon Inman. Caregiver: Diane Tilford, Housemate: Chrissi Edwards. Sisters: Rosalyn (McKimmy) and (Glenn) Fitzpatrick of Gladwin, Kenneth and Sharon (McKimmy) Kalnbach of Bridgeport, sister-in-law, Laura McKimmy of Beaverton. Brothers: Doyle and Marilynn McKimmy of Bridgeport, Donald and Carla McKimmy of Bad Axe. Possibly hundreds of others that she claimed as her own and in turn claimed her. She loved and was loved.
She is predeceased in death by three children, Billy, Christine and Dennis J. Jones, her husband, T. Edward Schnepp, and ex-husband James W. Jones. Brother: Merle McKimmy. StepSon: Bradley Schnepp, Grandson, Joseph Jason Woodman, Son-in-laws, Jesse J. Woodman and Richard N. Davis.
Dolores was a member of the Sun City West, Arizona, Seventh-day Adventist Church. Dolores Schnepp’s Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edenville S.D.A. Church in Edenville, Michigan with Pastor Hodet presiding. Dinner will be served after service by the beloved members of the Edenville, Estey and Gladwin S.D.A. Churches.
