Judy passed away Thursday evening December 29, 2011 at Bay Shore Nursing Center age 70 years.  Daughter of the late Virgil & Marie (Stajkowski) Schroeder she was born April 15, 1941 in Bay City where she has lived all of her life.

 Surviving is one brother; John “Jack” (Carolyn) Schroeder.

 Funeral service will take place Monday January 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Cemetery Chapel.  Sr. Gail Addis I.H.M. will officiate with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the chapel only on Monday. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Bay City, Michigan

Eugene passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011, age 84.  He was born February 5, 1927 in Bay County to the late John and Josephine (Wojciechowski) Gruszczynski.  He married Germaine H. Buzalski in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church on November 15, 1947; she predeceased him on February 13, 2003.  Eugene was a building contractor for over 30 years and also a realtor.  He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, flowers and being in the outdoors.  He loved spending time and sharing memories with his grandchildren. 

Surviving are three children: Diane (Bill) Karner, Marsha (William) Groulx and Ken (Mary Lynn) Gruszynski, seven grandchildren: Billy (Tammy) Karner, Brad Karner, Jessica and Michael Gruszynski, Sara, Josh and Jon Groulx, two sister in-laws, Jenny Jezowski and Charlotte Buzalski.  Eugene was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.

The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Rick Filary will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church only on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Stanislaus Campus Development Fund or the American Heart Association.

Eugene’s family would like to thank Larry and Michelle Campau, owners of Campau’s Adult Foster Care Home, their staff, Bay Regional Medical Center, Dr. Raza and his staff,  for the wonderful care they extended Eugene and his family for the past five years.   

Mr. Reinhardt passed away Saturday morning December 24, 2011 at Brian’s House age 66 years.  Son of the late Roy W. & Ethel (Jacobson) Reinhardt he was born June 18, 1945 in Bay City.  He married the former Barbara M. Krauss May 31, 1986 in Bay City.  She survives him.  Wayne served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was past Commander and a Life member of the VFW Post 3724 in Standish and the VFW Post 485 in Bay City.  Wayne was also served as District 11 Commander.  After getting out of the Army, Wayne joined the National Guard and spent 13 years in it and retired in 1986 after completing 20 years.  Wayne worked for G.M. for 25 years before retiring in 1996.  He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving besides his wife Barbara he leaves two children; Wayne Reinhardt Jr., Dawn (Todd) Fini, six step-children; Richard (Janice) Doud, Duane (Pamela) Doud, Diane St. Laurent, Bryan Doud, Bonnie Passannante, Cindy Doud, four grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren and three step- great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother and two sisters; Richard (Casey) Reinhardt, Diane (John) Wolfe and Lynda (Mike) Gerard.  He was predeceased by a sister; Marilyn Reinhardt.

A Memorial Service will take place Wednesday January 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Faith Lutheran Church.  Rev. Daniel Meckes will officiate with military honors by the Bay County Veteran’s Council after the service.  Friends may call at the church only on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Mrs. Goik passed away Tuesday morning December 20, 2011 at the Bay Medical Care Facility age 83 years.  Daughter of the late Daniel & Ada (Richards) Jerore she was born September 30, 1928 in Lemoyne, PA.  She married Edmund J. Goik February 11, 1950 in St. Joseph Church.  He predeceased her July 6, 2002.  She worked many years at K-Mart before retiring.  Kathy was a member of St. Hyacinth Church and enjoyed playing bingo, taking drives with her husband and going fishing.

 Surviving are seven children; Linda (Dennis) Flynn, John (Sharon) Goik, Eugene (Maureen) Goik, Beverly (Ron) Charbonneau, James (Sue) Goik, Helen Janz & her special friend; Robert Bublitz, Emily (Gene) Ryers, fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.   Also surviving are three sisters and a brother; Eleanor Bender, Robert (Earlene) Jerore, Mary (Chuck) Publow, Louise (Peter) Liehr, a brother in-law; Marion Goik and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother; Richard Jerore.

 Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday January 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Hyacinth Church.  Rev. Fr. Edward J. Konieczka will officiate with entombment in St. Patrick Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the church only on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Hyacinth Church or Bay Medical Care Facility.

Bay City, Michigan

     Verla passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Brian’s House, age 87.  She was born August 16, 1924 in Twining, Michigan to the late Basil and Elizabeth (Morley) Lee.  She married Alexander Linton in Ohio on May 3, 1939; he predeceased her on June 22, 1982.  Verla owned and operated Linton AFC Home for over 30 years and was a bus driver for the Bangor Township Schools.  She was a former member of Fraser Road Church of God.  She loved to ride her motorcycle, dance and often opened her “big heart” to help others.  She had a very extensive hat collection and liked wearing a different hat every day.  Verla’s children and family will miss her homemade bread and wonderful cooking.  “She was the best cook in the whole state.”

     Surviving are five children: Karen (James) Johnson, David (Marilyn) Linton, Sharen (Dennis) Husa, Connie Linton and Brian (Vanessa) Linton, 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, one brother, Robert Lee, and two sisters, Ann Middleton and Donna (Mike) Laszlo.  Verla was predeceased by two sons, Alex and Everette Linton, a grandson, Randy Linton, one brother, Edward Lee and two sisters, Dorothy Adams and Hazel Whitford.

     The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00am at Bay Valley Christian Church.  Rev. Dennis C. Lee will officiate.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Wednesday after 10:00am.

Paul Majznerski passed away Thursday December 15, 2011 at the Bay Regional Medical Center age 69 years.  Son of the late Norbert & Genevieve (Gramacki) Majznerski he was born July 14, 1942 in Bay City.  Paul served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Bay City Chevrolet after 35 years of service.  He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

 Surviving are four children; Mary Ann Lawler, Jill, Mike (Suzanne), Marcia Majznerski, five grandchildren; Eric & Kristi Neitzel, Tiffany Hart, Ryan & Holly Lawler, one sister; Camille (Bill) Nelson and two nephews.

 A Private memorial service will take place at the Squires Funeral Home.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
