Bay City, Michigan

     Ken passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 90.  Ken was a kind man, who enjoyed people.  He was a pleasure to be around.  He was an Identical twin, and his brother passed away 22 years ago.  They were born in South Lyons, MI to the late Vera (Carroll) and Claude Ritter.  Ken served in the US Army during WWII from 1943-1945 in Italy.  He retired from Oldsmobile in Lansing on June 1, 1989, after almost 48 years of dedicated service.  He enjoyed retirement in the North Country (Kalkaska area) but did some work for Voice Motors when he missed working.

   He is survived by his wife Pat, children: Sharyn of Kentucky, Cathy (Bob) of Grayling, Karia (Jon) of Laingsburg, Terry (Amy) of Manchester, MI, Karen of San Antonio, Texas, step-children: Larry (Peg), Terry (Laura), Kern (Amelia), one brother, Gene (Verlene) of Lansing, many grandchildren, one great grandchild, a son n law, Richard Leverette of San Antonio, who saved his life when he fell off a rubber raft in 2002, special brother in law, Michael (Chris) Rybak and many nieces and nephews.  Ken was predeceased by sons: Mark, Tom and Denny.

     The Funeral Service and Military Honors, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:00pm at St. Stanislaus Mausoleum.  Linda Studniarz will officiate.  No visitation will be held at the Ambrose Funeral Home.

Bay City, Michigan

     Gary passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his home, age 76.  He was born October 18, 1934 in Bay City to the late Harry and Leona (Bradfield) Jaynes.  He married Barbara A. Wilson on August 10, 1957 while serving his country with the US Army at Fort Hood, Texas; she survives him.  Gary was a professional floor covering installer for over 30 years.  He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, deer hunting, camping in Wolverine, sports and his dogs: Bruiser, Troubles and Sadie.  Gary loved spending time with his family and making new memories for them to carry on as well.

     Gary is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, one son, Roger (Michelle) Jaynes, four grandchildren: Jennifer Jaynes (fiancé, Kyle Niedrich), Greg, Kyle and Karrie Jaynes, one brother, Harley (Barbara) Jaynes, four nephews and nieces: Bob (Vivian), John, Debbie Jaynes and Peggy (Brian) Knopp.

     The Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 2:00pm at Squires Funeral Home.  Pastor Joe Atchinson will officiate and interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and Monday after 1:00pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice or “Family Wishes.”

     The Jaynes family would like to thank all the nurses at McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice for their heartfelt support and professionalism they extended Gary and his entire family.

Saginaw, Michigan

     Candie passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at her home.

     Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Candie’s life will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Big Ugly Fish on State Street in Saginaw.

Mr. Buda passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday September 29, 2011 at the age of 86.  Son of the late Joseph & Sadie (Herek) Buda he was born May 9, 1925 in Bay City.  Vic worked at Woodcraft, Kuhlman Electric, DeFoe Shipbuilding and later retired from Sears.  He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and St. George Society.

 Surviving are many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister; Bernadine (Jerry) Piesik and three brothers; Conrad (Irene), Nick (Eleanor) and Ambrose (Elizabeth) Buda.

 Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday October 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with inurnment in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the church only on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass.   In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Stanislaus Development Fund.

Ninamae Ellen Reber (Schaefer) of Bay City, passed away Tuesday September 28, 2011 at the caring and wonderful Toni & Trish House for the terminally ill where she spent her last days.  She was 84 years old.

 Nina leaves grieving her 5 adult children; Donna Strauss (John), Diann LaBerge (Donald), Danny Schaefer (Peggy Kufta), Dennis Schaefer (Carol) and Deborah Davis (who was her caretaker for over 2 years), step-daughter: Karon Cady (Linda Tifer), special friend: Charles Schaefer, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and her many dear friends along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 Deborah would like to thank the employees of Advantage Hospice and the Toni & Trish House involved in her care.  There are a few I would like to thank especially for their support and care to not only mother but me.  I can’t list all the names here specifically and take the chance of leaving someone out and you all know who you are anyway.  I give you my heart.

 At her request cremation has already taken place.  Arrangements are being made for a semi-private memorial service to be held soon – please call (989) 684-9574 for further information.  Pastor John Word will officiate and all friends or family are welcome to speak about Nina’s life if they so wish.  In lieu of flowers or plants Nina has asked friends and family to consider donations to the Cornerstone Baptist Church (whose wonderful parishioners will provide a small luncheon after the memorial service) to the Toni & Trish House or to a Humane Society of your choice in honor of her beloved cat Delila.

Toledo, Ohio

     Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Auburn Heights Assisted Living, age 76.   She was born June 19, 1935 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Clyde and Genevieve (Firtig) Voshall.  Shirley married Richard C. Gibson on November 24, 1972: he predeceased her on June 17, 1993.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.

     Surviving are two sons: David (Kyline) Gray and Eric (Stacy) Gray, four granddaughters: Emily, Grace, Samantha Gray and Ericka Pasch and one sister, Janet (Ed) Pickering.

     The Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 5:00pm at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Sr. Mary Epple will officiate and private interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00am until 5:00pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”
