Lloyd R. Davis, Jr.

     Lloyd passed away at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, June 18, 2011 after a brief illness, age 81.  He was born December 31, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Lloyd R. and Jenny L. (Wood) Davis, Sr.  Lloyd married Arlene M. Harding on August 8, 1953; she survives him.  He was a veteran and served his country with the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  In 1981, Lloyd retired from Grey Iron Foundry after 28 years of dedicated service.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending the winter months with his wife Arlene in Texas.

     Surviving besides his wife, Arlene are two daughters; Kathy (Thomas) Piotrowski and Janice (David) Deming, six grandchildren: Sherrie (fiancé, Fred) Gerhauser, John (Shannon) Gerhauser, Chris (Melissa) Piotrowski, Nick Piotrowski, Adam and Russell Deming, three great grandsons: Johnny and Blake Gerhauser and Gavin Piotrowski, two very dear family friends that Arlene and Lloyd treated as their own children, Mark (Cindy) Swanson, one sister, Mary Ellen (Bill) Wagner and one brother in-law, George (Lois) Harding.  Lloyd was predeceased by a daughter and son in-law, Linda and Norm Gerhauser.

     The Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:00am at Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church, Bay City.  Rev. William W. Omansiek will officiate and private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 and at church on Friday after 10:00am.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church.

Harold L. Bennett, II

     Harold passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 25.  He was born January 4, 1986 in Three Rivers, Michigan.  He had attended Standish-Sterling High School and was currently a quality control specialist.

     Surviving is his daughter, Nevaeh, grandfather, Al (Judy) Bennett, grandmother, Phyllis (Arlo) Taylor, one sister, Samantha Bennett, step-brother, Don Beaver, grandparents, Larry (Fern) Dentler, two uncles: James Taylor and Mike (Tricia) Bennett and a great aunt, Delores Bennett.  Harold was predeceased by his father, Harold L. Bennett, great grandparents, Lawrence (Maud) Bennett and Harold (Ruth) Benjamin and one uncle, Don Bennett.

     The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10:00am at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Loyd Ayres will officiate and interment will be at Flint Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 to 8:00pm and Tuesday after 9:00am.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Heart Association.

Irene Marie Nuncio

Ms. Nuncio passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw.  Age 41 years.  Irene was born on June 12, 1970 in Bay City to Viviano and Elida (Castello) Nuncio.

 

She is survived by her children, Jesse Chavez of Saginaw and Aubrey Angers of Texas, along with her mother Elida of Essexville.  Irene is also survived by two sisters and four brothers.  Angela (Jesse) Gonzalas of Washington, Richard Nuncio and Mary Nuncio of Essexville, Oscar Nuncio and Daniel Nuncio of Wyoming and Armando Nuncio of Bay City.  One grandchild, Josiah Chavez of Saginaw also survives her.  Her father predeceased her.

 

Funeral services will take place Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Squires Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30p.m. until  the time of service.  Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the wishes of the Nuncio family

Judith E. Kelly

     Our loving, mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Brian’s House, age 70 and was reunited with her husband, Theodore.  Judith was born January 2, 1941 in Bay City to the late Edward and Amanda (McKee) Rooker.  She married Theodore M. Kelly on August 6, 1966; he predeceased her on November 18, 2004.  Judith retired from Made-Rite Potato Chip Company after 34 years of dedicated service.  She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and enjoyed crafts, gardening, crochet, candy, ice cream and her “grand dogs”, Bella and Sophia.

     Judith is survived by her daughter, Mary (Keri) Kelly, two special loved ones Judith treated as her own children, Aaron Brown and Christie McCormick, one brother, Robert (Faith) Rooker, one sister in-law, Peggy (Gary) Gunderson, one aunt, Dorothy Moore, six nephews and nieces: Mike (Lolly) Rooker, Carolyn (Chuck) Knapp, Pat (Jamie) Rooker, Brian Rooker, Kathy Skaggs, Christie Calcaterra and several great nieces and nephews.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Maria Goretti Church.  Fr. George Serour and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will celebrate Mass and interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Saturday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Judith will be held Friday at 4:00pm at the funeral home.

Wendell L. Neal

    Wendell passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 58.  He was born June 9, 1952 in Bay City and has lived here all his life.  He enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.

     Surviving are two sons: Wendell Neal, Jr. and Christopher Neal, one granddaughter, his mother, Elaine Shields, two brothers: William (Helen) Neal and Warren (Karen) Neal and three sisters: Evelyn Meinhard, Joy (Terry) Breining, and Debra (Bill) Edsall.  Wendell was predeceased by his father, Wesley Neal and three brothers: Wesley Neal Jr., Wayne Neal and Rick Shields.

     Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service for Wendell will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Elaine’s Home, 126 Woodside Lane from 2:00 to 8:00pm.

Louis Paul Cwiklinski

     Louis, age 79, passed away peacefully Friday, June 10, 2011 at Brian’s House.  He was born December 23, 1931 in Bay City to the late Edward and Julia (Czuba) Cwiklinski.  He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and attended St. James Church also.  Louis was a graduate of Bay City Central High School.  He was a proud US Army veteran and served his country overseas in Germany.  After his military time, he worked at Bay City Chevrolet until his retirement at the age of 55.  During his retirement, he enthusiastically enjoyed fishing and hunting.

     Louis is survived by his sister, Irene (Gene) Borysiak, four children: Paul (Patricia) Cwiklinski, Janice (Dennis) Spiker, Rose (Mark) Aubuchon, and Julie Deska (Rich Hare), six grandchildren: Krysta (Kevin) Cook, Paul Jerome (Holly) Cwiklinski, Evan Deska, Lauren-Mae (Arron) Cook, Christian Spiker, and Emily Reder, two great grandchildren: Keyen and Kyler Cook, one sister in-law, Eleanor Cwiklinski and his fishing buddy, Don Malusi.  Louis was predeceased by one brother, Gene Cwiklinski and one niece, Joyce Heinsman.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Christian Tabares will celebrate Mass and interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Tuesday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Louis will be held Monday at 7:00pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Brian’s House.
