Rochelle Lynn Stein passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 25, 2011 at the age of 37 years.  She was born in Flint, Michigan on October 6, 1973 to Daniel and Scarlett (Jacobs) Allen.On April 19, 2008 she married Keith J. Stein in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.                                                 

 Rochelle is survived by her husband Keith, her children Peter Andrew Nixon II, Alexander Xavier Nixon and their father Peter, along with her parents and two brothers Daniel Allen II and Noah Allen, both of Flint.

 The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with private burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home Tuesday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday at church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.  The Parish Vigil will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  Those wishing to show an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the charity of their choice or the family wishes.

Bay City, Michigan

 Mary passed away Friday June 24, 2011 at Brian’s House age 80 years.  Daughter of the late Monroe F. & Martha E. (Mills) Doan she was born April 25, 1931 in Bay City.  She married James W. Rusho.  He predeceased her.  Mary truly enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with them.  She liked to read books, do puzzles, work in her garden and loved to cook.

 Surviving are her three children; Robert (Vicki) Cunningham, Lynn Walters, Gary Cunningham, two step-children; Pam Lee, Pat Rusho, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  Also surviving is a sister: Donna (Stanley) Meyer and a brother: Alex (Nancy) Doan.  She was predeceased by two sons: Donald M. & James E. Cunningham, one sister and her husband: Gladys (John) Grove and a brother: Duane Doan.

 Funeral Service will take place Thursday June 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. from the Squires Funeral Home.  Pastor Kellie French will officiate with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Bay City, Michigan

Mr. Carlson passed away Friday evening June 24, 2011 at Brian’s House age 77 years.  Son of the late Clarence & Amelia (Bova) Carlson he was born January 9, 1934 in Bay City where he has lived all of his life.  Henry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and later with the National Guards.  He worked for the Bay City Times for over 25 years before retiring and later worked for the State Theater and the Stock Pot.  Henry was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the K of C Council #414.  Henry had a true love for animals and children.

Surviving are two brothers and a sister; Fr. James R. Carlson of Saginaw, Charles E. (Arlene) Carlson of Iowa and Ruth M. Kingsley of Bay City.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.  Henry was predeceased by two brothers; Hap & Lewis and a brother in-law: Norman Kingsley.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.  Concelebrating will be Fr. James Carlson and Fr. Craig Albrecht with private burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Monday from 3 – 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m.  There will be a parish vigil service for Henry on Monday at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Bible Presentation by the K of C Council #414.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Mary’s Church Roof Project or Brian’s House.

Bay City, Michigan

 Mrs. Essex died Wednesday morning June 22, 2011 at the Tawas Village in E. Tawas age 89 years.  Daughter of the late William & Adeline (Davis) DeYoung she was born February 24, 1922 in Bay City.  She married Francis T. Essex January 30, 1943 in St. Joseph Church.  He predeceased her September 19, 2004.  Irene truly loved spending time with her family.

 Surviving is one daughter; Charlene (George) Falkenhagen, two granddaughters: Amy Marie (Ryun) Ridgway, Carrie Ann (Douglas) Farwell, two great-granddaughters: Allyson & Jessica Ridgway and a sister in-law: Delores DeYoung.  She was predeceased by an infant son: Gary Francis Essex, four sisters and a brother.

 Funeral service will take place Saturday June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Joe Atchinson will officiate with private entombment in Floral Gardens Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. and on Saturday after 10:00 a.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer Foundation.

Bay City, Michigan

     Our beloved Busia passed away peacefully Monday, June 20, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center with her family by her side, age 83.  She was born February 8, 1928 in Bay City to the late Sylvester and Agnes (Banaszak) Cwiklinski.  Marie married David M. Lambert, Jr. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church on September 27, 1947; he predeceased her on February 25, 2008.  She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and enjoyed playing bingo and scratch-off bingo lottery tickets.  Marie was an excellent cook, her specialty was homemade soap and polish cuisine.  She loved spending time and share stories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Surviving is her son, Jeffrey (Susan) Lambert, seven grandchildren: Janielle (Mike) Majeske, John Lambert, Jennifer (Lance) Blurton, Paul and Hannah Lambert, Scott (Jennifer) Gries and Justin Gries, five great grandchildren: Rachael and Avery Majeske, Gabriela Lambert, Brandon and Ryan Gries, one sister, Patricia Musielak, a daughter in-law, Brenda Baranowski, one brother in-law, Mike (Cindy) Lambert, four sisters in-law: Lois Cwiklinski, Shelby Fowler, Kay Hartwig, Sandy Johnson, many nieces and nephews.  Marie was predeceased by a son, Paul Lambert, one brother, Sal “Junior” Cwiklinski and a brother in-law, Wally Musielak.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Richard M. Filary will celebrate Mass and interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Thursday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Marie will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”

Bay City, Michigan

     Timothy passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at his residence, age 52.  The son of John W. and Rose Lee (Thomas) Travis, he was born May 23, 1959 in Bay City and has lived here most of his life.  Tim was a Registered Nurse and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.  He enjoyed sports, biking, golf, classical music, singing and Scrabble.  He loved to cook and was a master at his grill.

     Surviving are two sons, Robert (Jennifer Alger) Travis and Jared Travis, his mother, Rose Lee Travis, two brothers, Paul R. (Luann) Travis and Richard T. (Sharon) Travis, two sisters, Julie A. (John) Rapisarda and Amy (Christopher) VanWormer, nieces and nephews: John, Matthew, Sarah, Katherine, Peter, Christopher, Rachel, Amelia, Evelyn, Lauren and Jenna.  Tim was predeceased by his father, John W. Travis.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 24, 2011 at 12noon at St. Boniface Church.  Fr. Dale Orlik will celebrate Mass and interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.   Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Friday after 11:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Tim will be held Thursday at 7:00pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or American Kidney Foundation.
