Bay City, Michigan

     Donna went home to be with her Lord Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 49.  She was born October 25, 1961 in Saginaw to the late Joseph P. and Susan M. (Stachowski) Grauherr.  Donna was employed with Admiral Gas Station on Euclid and Thomas Streets for many years as a cashier and was a faithful member of Calvary Worship Center.  She enjoyed reading and volunteered for Relay For Life with the American Cancer Society.  Donna was also an avid Michigan State University fan; “Go Green Go White.”

     Surviving are five sisters and brothers: Joann (Phillip) Wazdrag, Geraldine Biermaker, Patrick M. Grauherr, Mitchell (Casey) Broom, and Penney Grauherr, five nieces and nephews: Allison, Ashley and Patrick Grauherr, Hannah and Connor Broom, special family; Florence Grauherr, Richard Grauherr and Donna’s step-parents, Melvin and Diane Broom.

     The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 6:00pm at Squires Funeral Home.  Pastor Dana Simmons will officiate and private family interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 to 6:00pm.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Bay City, Michigan

     Our loving angel went home to heaven Saturday, February 26, 2011, age 19.  The daughter of James W. and Luanne (Charbonneau) DeCorte, she was born October 22, 1991 in Bay City.  Danette graduated with honors from Bay City Central High School in 2009.  In high school she was a three year varsity basketball player and a four year varsity volleyball player.  Danette was an assistant manager at Old Navy and later worked at Justice, both in the Bay City Mall.  She was currently enrolled at Saginaw Valley State University, where her academics where stunning.  She was on the President’s List since she started at SVSU.   She was very focused on her education and look forward to obtaining her pre-law degree.

     Surviving is her parents, James W. and Luanne DeCorte, one brother, Daniel J. DeCorte, one sister, Danelle Y. DeCorte, one step-brother, Jason A. DeCorte, grandfather, Donald J. DeCorte, grandmother, Alvina Nowak, Danette’s loving and best male friend, her boyfriend, John Foldie, many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Danette was predeceased by her grandmother, Denise Marie DeCorte and her best friend, Emilee Prime.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Christian F. Tabares will celebrate Mass and private family interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 to 9:00pm and at church on Thursday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Danette will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm.

     Danette made a lasting impression in everyone’s heart, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Sterling, Michigan formerly of Bay City

 Thresa Habina passed away Sunday February 27, 2011 at Medilodge of Sterling age 85 years.  Daughter of the late Adam & Caroline (Pakos) Habina she was born February 9, 1926 in Munger, Michigan

 Surviving are two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son; David Habina, three brothers; Frank, Edward & Charles Habina and five sisters; Sally Liskey, Polly Rybak, Rose Simmons, Caroline Habina and Elizabeth Preston.

 The family would like to thank the staff at Medilodge in Sterling for the wonderful care that was given to Thresa over the years.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Hyacinth Church.  Fr. Edward J. Konieczka will officiate with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Bay City, Michigan

     It is so befitting that Myrtle passed away on February 26^th; this is the date that the band of love 62 years ago in St. James Church was formed between John and Myrtle.  They are now once again back together for all eternity.  John predeceased Myrtle on December 1, 2008.  “Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad, We Love and Miss you both so very much.”

   Myrtle was born November 7, 1929 in Bay City to the late John and Theresa (Garrow) Zawacki.  Myrtle was a faithful and devoted member of Visitation Catholic Church.

     Surviving is her four children: Debra (Garry) Harris, Denise (Richard) Buczkowski, Michael (Carole) Serour and Donna (Abe) Serrano, eight grandchildren: Daniel Harris, Shannon (Randy) Bowman, Erik Buczkowski, Mike Serour, Jennifer Serour, Melissa, Andrew, and Devin Serrano, three step-grandchildren: Jason (Tyannia) Beckers, Eric (Tiffany) Beckers, Jaclynn Beckers, and six great grandchildren.  Myrtle was predeceased by two grandsons: Brian Serrano and Rick Malusi, two brothers: Jack and William Zawacki and one sister, Virginia Baringer.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 10:00am at Visitation Catholic Church.  Fr. George Serour and Fr. Stephen Fillion will concelebrate Mass and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Thursday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Myrtle will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Visitation Catholic Church.

     The Serour family would like to thank all the staff at Bay Special Care Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care they gave mom and her entire family.

Bay City, Michigan

 Mr. Krzyzaniak passed away Wednesday February 23, 2011 at his home age 74 years.  Son of the late Joseph & Velda (Rusho) Krzyzaniak he was born August 27, 1936 in Bay City.

 Surviving are many friends.

 A Memorial Service will take place Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Joe Atchinson will officiate. Bay City, Michigan

     Shirley passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at her residence, age 78.  She was born June 21, 1932 in Bay City to the late Otto and Anna (Paeth) Rosin.  Shirley married Gerald Sauve; he predeceased her on April 30, 1958.  She later married Paul Brunner on August 1, 1964 in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bay City; where they remain members. 

     Surviving besides her husband, Paul is two children: Kerri (Ken) Forfinski and Jeffrey Sauve, three grandchildren: Corey (Carrie), Nicholas, and Travis (Mandy) Forfinski, four great grandchildren: Clayton, Colton, Madison and Garrett.  Shirley was predeceased by a brother, Otto Rosin and a sister, Betty McConnel.

     The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:00am at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Mark Schulz will officiate and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00pm and Saturday after 9:00am.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
