Joshua Allen Thompson

 Joshua Thompson age 20 died Friday evening June 11, 2010 at the Bay Regional Medical Center.  He was born October 6, 1989 in Bay City.  Joshua worked at Big Boy on Center Ave. and was a member of Christian Celebration Center of Midland.

 Surviving is his father; Michael Thompson Sr., his mother; Ashley (James) Greenwood, brothers and sisters; Amanda (William) Snyder, Michael Thompson II., Nathan, Chad & Carissa Thompson.  Also surviving are his grandparents; Ralph & Gloria Mersdorf, Robert Thompson Jr., great-grandparents; Josephine Maciag, Lillian Mersdorf, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a very dear and special friend; LaRonda Thorne.

 Funeral Service will take place Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Squires Funeral Home.  Pastor Joel Stocker will officiate with burial in Oakridge Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Monday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. and on Tuesday after 1:00 p.m. until time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Richard R. Rytlewski

 Mr. Rytlewski passed away Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the Bay Regional Medical Center age 62 years.  Son of the late Roman & Jennie (Wenglikowski) Rytlewski he was born November 14, 1947 in Bay County MI.  He married the former Kathleen Voisine.  She survives him.  Rich served in the U.S. Army and was currently working for Sugar Construction of Midland.  He enjoyed playing golf and going deer hunting.

 Surviving besides his wife Kathy he leaves five children; David Besaw, Dean (Rebecca) Besaw, Richard, Nathan & Jonathan Rytlewski, five grandchildren; David Besaw, Amber & Tyler Rytlewski, Elizabeth and Sara Kate Besaw.  Also surviving are his Father in-law and mother in-law; Thomas & Floris Voisine, three sisters and three brothers; Frances (Richard) Buckley, David (Karen) Rytlewski, Alan (Ruth) Rytlewski, Nancy (Randy) Gay, Steve (Lori) Rytlewski, Susan (Robert) Zaucha, Brothers in-law and sisters in-law; Marilyn (Dale) Runyan, Jack (Cheryl) Voisine, Dennis (Diane) Voisine, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and two special cousins and dear friends;  Donald & Gerald Rytlewski.

 A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held Saturday June 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from his son Jonathan’s home (1670 Hiawatha Dr. Saginaw, MI. 48604) .  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

     weissphoto After a courageous battle with cancer, Paul passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Brian’s House, age 64.  He was born July 1, 1945 in Bay City to the late Richard F. and Gladys C. (Matuszewski) Weiss.  Paul married Janet C. Magryta in St. Hyacinth Church on April 29, 1967 and she survives him.  He was a Vietnam veteran and served his country with the US Navy.  He retired from General Motors-Powertrain on July 1, 2008, with over forty years of dedicated service.  Paul was a member of St. Hyacinth Church and Pulaski Hall, where enjoyed playing cards with his buddies.  He also enjoyed traveling, camping with family and friends, golf, and helping others with home remodeling and “fix-up” projects.  Paul loved to make home-cooked meals and baked the perfect desserts.  Family and friends will sadly miss his chicken noodle soup and those extra special desserts.

     Surviving besides his wife, Janet is six children; Amy (Chris) Kissane, Mark (Lisa) Weiss, Deborah Weiss, Sharon (Luke) Cole, Shelly Weiss, and Melissa (Damon) Amey, ten grandchildren; Brian and Brandon Kissane, Ryan, Erin, and Jayme Weiss, Joe, Sam, and Patrick Cole, Brett and Chad Amey, twelve brothers and sisters; Bernadette (Elmer) Jacob, Richard (Betty) Weiss, John Weiss, Thomas (Jane) Weiss, Mary Jo Weiss, Michael (Lori) Weiss, Russell (Diane) Weiss, Nancy (Ronald) Krause, Joseph (Darlene) Weiss, Karen Leske, Cynthia (Walter) Gorney, and Ann Weiss, two sister in laws, Elaine (Mark) Rector and Diane (Bob) Cluckey.  Paul was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kira Weiss, a sister in-law, Betty Lou Weiss, two brother in-laws, Timothy Leske, Richard Magryta and Paul’s father and mother in-law, Edward and Dorothy Magryta.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00am at St. Hyacinth Church.  Fr. Edward J. Konieczka will celebrate Mass and entombment will follow in St. Patrick Mausoleum.  Military Honors will be provided by the US Navy and the Bay County Veterans Council at St. Patrick Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00pm and at church on Thursday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Paul will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm at the funeral home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Brian’s House or “Family Wishes.”

            Mr. Heitman passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Brian’s House, age 91.  A memorial service will take place at a later date.  There will be no visitation at the Squires Funeral Home.

     burnsphotoKeith passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 70.  The son of Lige M. and Marjorie A. (Krabbe) Burns, he was born August 15, 1939 in Bay City.  Keith married Charlotte Mae Blumfield and she predeceased him.  He retired from Grey Iron after 25 years of service and enjoyed gardening.  He was a lifelong member of Trinity-St. James Lutheran Church in Munger and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 1010.

     Surviving is a son, Bryan K. Burns, his mother, Marjorie A. Burns, two brothers, William (Shirley) Burns, Grant (Marla) Burns and a sister, Marjorie (Dennis) Swiecicki.  Keith was predeceased by his father, Lige, a brother, Gene and a sister, Carol Talmadge.

     The Funeral Service and Rite of Committal will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00am at Trinity-St. James Lutheran Church in Munger.  Pastor Theodore E. Voll will officiate and private interment will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church only on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity-St. James Lutheran Church.

John R. “Jack” Trapp

     Jack passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at Byron Center Meadows in Byron Center, MI, age 75.  He was born March 29, 1935 in Bay City to the late J. Howard and Gertrude (Okon) Trapp.  He married Barbara J. Carrier in St. James Church on February 11, 1956, she predeceased him on February 3, 1996.  Jack retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland after many years of dedicated service.  He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, American Legion Post #18, Knights of Columbus Council #4102 and a proud veteran of the US Navy Reserves.

     Surviving are two children; Jenifer (John) Watson and Steve (Debbie) Trapp, three grandchildren; John Watson II, Tyler and Nichole Trapp, one brother, Tom (Pat) Trapp and a sister in-law, Shirley Trapp.  Jack was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Trapp and a sister, Jeannie Frasik.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11:00am at St. James Catholic Church.  Fr. Robert DeLand will celebrate Mass and graveside interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Wednesday after 10:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Jack will be held Tuesday at 6:00pm from the funeral home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. James Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
