
Mr. Hages died Saturday morning November 20, 2010 at Brian’s House age 82 years. Son of the late Chauncey & Annette (Johnson) Hages he was born October 23, 1928 in Essexville. He married the former Jacqueline Tokai November 17, 1951 in St. Joseph Church. Don is survived by his wife Jackie. Don was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and served aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea. Don worked at Consumer Powers for over 32 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Don will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and papa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Don also loved to travel and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Surviving besides his wife Jackie, he leaves six children; Susan (Brad) Champagne, James (Nannette) Hages, Daniel (Jody) Hages, Katherine (Mark) Hoffmann, Donna (N. Robert) Reiling, Jennifer (Dennis) Draves, fourteen grandchildren; Craig, Kevin, Kelly, Brandon, Weston, Jamison, Nicki, Danny, Taelor, Jami, Theresa, Bridgette, Zoe, Jordan and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters; Helen (Joe) Vanderlooven and Ann Peterson. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters; Wallace & Chauncey Jr. Hages, Lorraine LaChance and Lucille Doriean.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brian’s House for the wonderful care that was given to Don and his family.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday November 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. from St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Fr. Richard Filary will officiate. Friends may call at the church only on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until time of mass. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Brian’s House or St. Stanisluas Campus Development Fund.
