A.Wayne Kelley

 Mr. Kelley passed away Friday morning July 30, 2010 at Brian’s House age 81 years.  Son of the late Stewart & Louella (LeTourneau) Kelley he was born February 18, 1929 in Pontiac, Michigan.  He married the former Barbara LeFevre July 26, 1952 in St. Mary’s Church.  She survives him.  Mr. Kelley graduated from Michigan State University in 1951 and worked for William H. Rorer Pharmaceutical Company for over 30 years before retiring.  Wayne was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and the Michigan High School Athletic Association for over 40 years where he was an umpire and a referee in football, volleyball and girls softball.

 Surviving besides his wife Barbara he leaves five children; Thomas (Cheryl) Kelley, Beth Ann Kelley, Erin Kelley, Mary Ellen Kelley-Sweeney & her husband Mike, Daniel Kelley, five grandchildren; Tom Kelley, Ashley Jacobs, Jackson & Finn Sweeney, Tyler Long, one brother; Richard (Rose) Kelley and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by one brother; Donald Kelley.

 A Memorial Service will take place Monday August 2, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. from the Squires Funeral Home.  Nancy Rivet will officiate.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Monday from 1 – 4 p.m..  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

James Robert Tory

 Mr. Tory passed away Friday evening July 23, 2010 at Brittany Manor age 85 years.  Son of the late Jack & Hulda Tory he was born September 28, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan.  Mr. Tory served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Medic.  Jim was owner and operator of Jim Tory Landscaping which he started in the 60’s and later retired.  He then moved to Manton, MI. where he had a Christmas tree farm.  Mr. Tory was a member of the Eagles in Manton and enjoyed taking care of his pets.

 Surviving are three children; William Tory, Allan (Judy) Tory, Patricia (Dave) Laskowski, seven grandchildren and one sister; Clarabell (Robert) Widman.

 Funeral Service will take place Tuesday July 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Squires Funeral Home with burial in Heavenly Rest Cemetery under the auspices of the Bay County Veteran’s Council.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. and on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Heartland Hospice.

Octavia V. Rinz

    rinzphoto Mrs. Rinz passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 90 years.  She was born December 15, 1919 to the late Anthony and Gladys (Dziubek) Ceglarek.  On April 13, 1943 she married Al J. Rinz in St. Hyacinth Church.  He predeceased her on December 8, 1997.  Octavia was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.

     She is survived by her son, Ron J. Rinz, a granddaughter, Kate (Aaron) Wirsing , Kate’s mother, Jan Rinz, a great grandson, Luke Wirsing, two sisters-in-law; Frances Ceglarek and Wanda Dumas.  Octavia was predeceased by her grandson, John Rinz and four brothers and sisters; William (Anna) Ceglarek, Lucille (David) Marande, Victor Ceglarek and Jean Ceglarek.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 26, 2010 at 12:00 noon at St. James Catholic Church by Fr. George Serour and interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.   A Parish Vigil Service for Octavia will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. James Catholic Church.

 Evelyn Sampson passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Battle Creek Health System age 82 years.  Daughter of the late Bernard & Anna (LaLonde) Vander Wielen she was born June 19, 1928 in Bay City.  Evelyn enjoyed her family very much. She would like to go motor cycle riding, taking trips, gardening and making ceramics.

Surviving are two daughters; Linda (Wayne) Prichard, Nancy (Steve) Kinney, five grandchildren; Jackie (Ron) Worthington, Heath (Ronda) Prichard, Nicky (Ken) Hennaut, Steve (Kelly) Kinney, Stephanie (Matt) Krill, ten great-grandchildren; Brandon & Justin Prichard, Brittaney, Kinney & Cody Hennaut, Dustin, Jarod & Brianna, Charles and Katilyn Krill.  Also surviving are two sisters and a brother; Adeline Heitman, Loretta (Fred) Vink and Larry Wielen.  She was predeceased by a son; Clifford, a great-granddaughter Sharon Krill, one brother  and two sisters; Jane, Marie, Jerry and a brother in-law; Harry Heitman and a sister in-law; Gloria Wielen.

 Funeral service will take place Monday July 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the Squires Funeral Home.  Pastor Lloyd Ayres will officiate with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Monday from 12 noon until time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Robert A. “Bob” Nadolski

Nadolski - pictureMr. Nadolski passed away Wednesday July 7, 2010 at the Bay Regional Medical Center age 52 years.  He was born February 18, 1958 in Bay City.  Bob married the former Candi Ther July 8, 1989 in St. John’s Church.  She survives him.  He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, the Usher’s Club, Past President and Treasurer of St. Stan’s A.C., a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Stephen Council #4102, where he served as President of the Home Association and was the current Treasurer.  Bob belonged to the 4th Degree Bishop Murphy Assembly #0491 and was very instrumental in getting all the bands for the St. Stan Festival.  He enjoyed coaching t-ball, 4-Pitch, little league, playing cards and going camping.

 

Surviving besides his wife Candi, he leaves four children; Jennifer (David) Hitchcock, Natalie (Michael) Hicks, Brandon and Tyler Nadolski, five grandchildren; Alexis, Gabrielle, Isabella, Kaylan and Haley.  Also surviving is his mother; Eleanor Nadolski, mother in-law; Mary Ther, two brothers and a sister; Dan (Kathy) Nadolski, Audrey (Joe) Willett, Ken (Linda) Nadolski, many nieces, nephews and special friends.  He was predeceased by his father; Bernard Nadolski and his father in-law; Joe Ther Sr.

 

Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday July 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Fr. Richard M. Filary will officiate with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday after 9:00 a.m.  There will be a parish vigil service for Bob on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. along with a service of remembrance by St. Stan’s Ushers and a Bible & Chalice presentation by the Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.

Delores T. Sporman

Mrs. Sporman passed away Tuesday evening July 6, 2010 at the Bay Medical Care Facility age 82 years.  Daughter of the late Edward & Helen (Kunigelis) Sinicki she was born October 28, 1927 in Bay City.  She married Arthur J. Sporman August 2, 1947 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  He predeceased her February 4, 2003.  Mrs. Sporman had worked at Lewis Manufacturing, Meisel Hardware and later as a Avon Represenative for over 35 years before retiring. Delores was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Rosary/Altar Society, Senior Citizens, Felician Sister’s Auxiliary, Past President of St. Stanislaus Ladies A.C. and the League of Catholic Women and Men.

 

Surviving are two sons; Don Sporman, Tim (Dana) Sporman, two grandsons; Tyler & Kyle Sporman, one sister; Barbara Pretzer, a sister in-law; Pat Sinicki and a very dear friend; Karen Wolter.  She was predeceased by a brother; Richard Sinicki.

 The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care give to Delores over the years.

 Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday July 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Presiding will be Fr. Rick Filary with entombment in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 – 5 & 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday after 9:00 a.m.  Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary/Altar Sodality, Senior Citizens and the Felician Sister’s Auxiliary will pray the rosary at 2:00 p.m. Thursday followed by a vigil service for Delores at 7:00 p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Stanislaus Development Fund.
